Search for Norwegian lake monster!
Telemark, Norway, August 1998:
On Tuesday, august 4, 1998, an international expedition led
by Swedish cryptozoologist Jan-Ove Sundberg, set out to try and find the lake
monster of Selfjordsvatnet in Telemark, Norway. Or at least to find proof of
it's existence.
The expedition is followed by a British television crew who
is going to film all of the action for a future documentary, and both sonar's
and a minisub will be used in the search, which will be going on for two weeks.
One of the participants of the expedition, Vemund Björge, claims
to have seen the monster three years ago. "It looked something like a black
wave", he says. The Selfjordsvatnet monster, whatever it is, is estimated to
be somewhere between three and ten meters long.
